Inspire: It’s Apple Season!

“For the Lord’s portion is his people.” Deuteronomy 32:9 KJV

Fall ushers in the harvesting of apples.

The trees are bulging with their bounty and ready to be picked.

It’s a sign of the turning seasons and the goodness of the land.

And it is a reminder of our importance in God’s view.

You are God’s apple!

You, my friend, are the apple of God’s eye (deu 32:10, Psa 17:8).

A statement that says there is no one closer, no one more precious, no one more at the center of another.

When words were difficult to explain, long ago, an apple best described that little tiny pupil we all have.

The pupil, the aperture, the most delicate and sensitive portion of the eye was also recognized as the most precious part of the body. The part that needed to be protected the most, cared for the most, and remembered the most.

And why wouldn’t God see us as that?

Out of everything He created, YOU are the closest to His heart.

When times hit that cause you to question God’s love for you, look no further than to an apple.

See your preciousness in His heart.
See your preciousness in His being.
And see your preciousness in His eyes.

Apple season is forever; God planned you that way.
