In the 50’s you probably couldn’t miss a house that didn’t have Formica countertops, or light pink fixtures or long davenports in the living rooms—it was the look of the day.

In the 70’s, you’d be hard-pressed if you couldn’t find a house without shag carpet, or green appliances, or wood paneling on the walls—it was the look of the day.

In the 90’s you’d no doubt came across a few homes with dark green walls, or floral patterned cushions, or heavy oak furniture—it was the look of the day.

Home décor has certainly changed.

It’ll keep changing.

In fact, everything we have around us has and will continue to change with the times.

God doesn’t!

He is the same today as He was the day He made the earth. He is not a new-age deity, He is not a trend, He is not a flash in the pan.

He is the same God who spoke to Abraham long ago.

He is the same God who David wrote about in his psalms.

He is the same God who sent His Son for our salvation.

And He is the same God who on this very day, knows and loves you intimately and deeply.

In this ever-changing world and upside-down events, take comfort in knowing our God does not move with the times and is not swayed by opinion.

His foundation remains forever!
